The Ministering to More People in Better Ways Cohort is a transformational 12-month program designed specifically for pastors who want to develop leaders so that their church can minister to more people in better ways. You will build biblical character, knowledge, and skill into your leaders so that they can:

Live missionally: This step, often overlooked, is the key to leadership development and ministering to more people in better ways. You will learn to use the gospel to shape their character and thoughts about how to love people for who they are, not what they do or believe. Skills will be developed to create personal missional fields and to create a culture of sharing life together in ways that are attractive to lost people.

Make disciples: This step is overlooked too. Leaders must make disciples. If they don’t, who will? You will learn to use the gospel to shape their character and thoughts so they will be equipped to be “there” at the right place and at the right time to have a spiritual conversation and eventually share the gospel. Skills will also be developed to create a discipleship process so that your people’s hearts and minds grow closer to Jesus as they obey his will.

Mobilize into ministry: As people move into active ministry, you will help them to continue to shape their character so they stay close and sensitive to God. This key point is essential for fruitful and lasting service. You will also use Scripture to shape their thinking on serving, leading, and mobilizing. Skills developed here include assessing how their gifting, passion, and personality impact serving God and their community.

Lead a ministry: Trials and temptations pop up more often when a person is leading a ministry. You will use the gospel and biblical wisdom to shape their character to resist temptations and embrace trials. Often times when leading a ministry, the leaders will need to share a simple gospel message. They learn how here. You will also develop the skills to form a healthy leadership community for your church.

Lead leaders: Making mature godly decisions when facing crises, problems, relationships, and ways to spend time and money is part of the character of a leader who leads leaders. Leaders will be coming to them for guidance and wisdom with these issues. They will also learn how to apply the Bible to their lives before applying it to others. They will develop the skill to apprentice, mentor, and coach those who they are leading.

Multiply ministries: Core issues and limiting beliefs often appear when a leader plans a new a work, whether it’s church plant, a church ministry, or a non-profit. You will use the gospel and biblical wisdom to help them overcome these. Leaders starting new works must also be firm in doctrine. This is where they learn and polish their beliefs so they may pass them on to those in their new work. Skills you will develop to pass on to your leaders will be how to identify others to join the work, cast vision, pick an appropriate model, and establish plans and timelines.

It takes time to develop the skill to develop leaders. A lot of time.

We have found that you can’t rush developing skill like you can acquiring knowledge.

Remember suicide Greek? You were trained to jam to ton of Greek into your head in a very short period of time, but how long did it take for you to become skilled and effective in using it in your sermon prep?  It took a lot of time of consistently working with the language to really become skilled at using it.

Same is true here. We are not interested in jamming a bunch of content into your head. However, we are VERY interested in developing your skill.

On average, about two to three hours a week.

When pricing “Ministering to More People in Better Ways” we considered the following:

  1. Your energy: The cost of having limited leadership that drains you.
  2. Your time: The cost of not knowing how to fix the problem in spite of multiple attempts.
  3. Your congregation’s identity: The cost of people in your neighborhood not knowing you.

  • All materials
  • One cohort call every six weeks. This is discussion based.
  • One one-on-one call bi-weekly. This is applying the discussion to your context.
