REV. IAN DUNAWAY

Student Pastor Search Lead  (Tulsa-based)

Co-Founder, Shaping Student Ministry, Pastor, and Director of Development, G6 Allies

With over two decades in student ministry, Ian Dunaway has seen both the beauty and the burnout that come when churches and pastors aren’t the right fit. That’s why he co-founded Shaping Student Ministry Search and Placement. He wanted to see a process designed to help churches find the right leader, not just fill a position.

Ian has served as a student pastor, teaching pastor, and national ministry leader, partnering with churches and para-church organizations across the country. His experience gives him a rare vantage point to see what truly drives healthy, lasting ministry.

When Ian works with a church, he’s not just recruiting. He’s listening, discerning, and guiding with a pastor’s heart and a strategist’s mind. Every recommendation is personal. Every connection is intentional.

What drives Ian is finding  the student pastor who fits your church’s culture, shares your mission, and will stay for the long haul.
